Dr. Judit Bidló has been the Deputy State Secretary for the Professional Management of Health at the Ministry of the Interior since March 1, 2023.
She is a pharmacist, economist, and infobionics engineer. Founding member of the Hungarian Health Economics Society. She gained her experience in the pharmaceutical industry at Novartis and the Association of Innovative Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. of which she was director for 4 years between 2005-2009. Since 2009, she worked at the National Health Insurance Fund, in the area of price reimbursement. She was the deputy general director of price reimbursement of the National Health Insurance Fund from November 1, 2018 until the end of February 2023. At NEAK, she was responsible for the operation and financing of the outpatient drug supply, the financing of medical devices and itemized based reimbursement technologies, as well as for procurement and orphan pharmaceutical products financing. She still participates in the work of the National Molecular Oncoteam at NEAK. Currently, she considers her main task to be the creation of outcome-based drug financing and the adaptation of financing systems to the telemedicine systems that are coming to the fore due to the COVID epidemic. In addition, she is a committed supporter of the development of data-driven healthcare decision-making.
He is a Popovics award-winning financial analyst, a certified financial economist, and the State Secretary responsible for industrial policy and technology at the Ministry for Economic Development.
He was born in Kaposvár, where he obtained his first degree. Then he graduated in economics from Maastricht University in 2009.
He started his career at the Magyar Nemzeti Bank in 2009 and after holding a number of positions and many years of professional experience, he was appointed Managing Director in 2017.
At the same time, he also served as the CEO of the Budapest Institute of Banking Zrt. and the Managing Director of MNB-EduLab Kft., while he played a prominent role as the director of the opening of the Money Museum of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank.
From December 2022, he support the work of the Minister for Economic Development as State Secretary responsible for industrial policy and technology. In the course of his professional work, he attaches importance to increasing the competitiveness of Hungarian industry and to the planning and implementation of programmes that promote the technological development of Hungarian companies.
Ian Hook is an avid intrapreneur and passionately curious leader who has built a career on being the interface between the business and the technology. Whilst working in Accenture he pioneered AI approaches to Knowledge Management, leading development teams to build practical, scalable solutions with tens of millions of dollars’ worth of impact to the company and gaining multiple patents in Artificial Intelligence solutions. Ian currently leads Knowledge Management in Novartis where he is responsible for all commercial facing strategic content. He is leading Novartis’ approach to Generative AI and runs multiple workstreams. His focus is on long-term sustainability and tangible business value of the solutions being created.
graduated from the Medical School of University of Pecs
in 1972, specialized in laboratory medicine and in neuroendocrinology. He is the
member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Until 2013, he was the chair of the
Institute of Laboratory Medicine and the senior vice rector of the University of Pecs
responsible for science and innovation. Later he became the founding president of
the Szentágothai Research Centre of the University. Dr. Kovacs is the past president
of the Doctoral Council of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the vice-president
of the Medical Section of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His current scientific
interest lies in the innovative diagnostic biomarker research of human reproduction.
Currently he is the scientific leader of the National Laboratory on Human
Reproduction. His publications were cited over 6400 times in the international
scientific literature. Honoring his professional and scientific activities he received
numerous awards, including the Széchenyi Award.

The name of IT specialist Andor Nagy is linked to the implementation of the company group’s integrated
IT and logistics system, the first successful Hungarian introduction of the SAP EWM system, and the
creation and on-going development of the company’s strategic IT security system. Mr Nagy is also at
home when dealing with state-of-the-art IT and logistics technology.
Neuwald Tivadar graduated in 1995 from the College of Agricultural Sciences in Debrecen, majoring in economics, then in 1999 he received a university degree in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the University of Agricultural Sciences in Gödöllő, parallel to this, he completed his higher education studies in 2001 at the Faculty of Administrative Organization of the Budapest University of Economics and Public Administration.
He has two and a half decades of experience in the IT industry in sales and management fields.
He started his career at Megatrend 2000 Informatika Zrt. as an account manager, and after a 2-year period at Bsc Kft., he continued at Delta Elektronik Kft. from 2004. He has been working for the Delta Group for 20 years. As director of sales, he is responsible for business development and managing existing partners, as well as mentoring sales colleagues. He speaks English.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Semmelweis University in 2005. He worked as
a resident physician at Semmelweis University in the field of forensic medicine from 2005 to
2009, and between 2010 and 2012 he was engaged in the planning and organization of drug
safety studies. Between 2012 and 2015 he worked as a health specialist at the Institute of
Pharmaceutical and Health Quality and Organizational Development, later he became a
medical consultant and acting regional director of the State Health Care Center. From 2015 to
2017 he was head of the Department of Finance and director of Outpatient Care of North-
Central Buda Centre, St. John Central Hospital Budapest. From 2017 to 2019 he headed the
Health Policy Department of the Ministry of Human Capacities. Between 2019 and 2020 he
became acting director-general of the North-Central Buda Centre, St. John Central Hospital
Budapest. Lately he was deputy director-general for Primary and Specialist Care at the
National Healthcare Service Center.
Public duties:
He was president of the Hungarian Resident Association from 2005 to 2008, and between
2005 and 2009 he was a member of the Board of Governors of Semmelweis University, and
between 2007 and 2015 he was a member of the National Board of the Hungarian Medical
Chamber.
The 3nd Digital Health Summit was on 22nd November, 2022 with 444 registrations. The 2nd DHS was in September, 2021 with 220 guests. The 1st Digital Health Summit was in February, 2020 with 397 attendees. And our DHS's little sister conference: Digital Health Essential was on 30th May, 2022 with 265 guests.
The Digital Health Summit brings together public and private health care, digital pharma, and manufacturers of digital medical products, venture capitalists and startups from around Hungary, to network, exchange ideas and to become more familiar with opportunities in Hungary. Our independent conference will become a significant event for many companies in the DH industry and is particularly important in Hungary given the explosion of business and entrepreneurship in the region.
Digital health is the convergence of digital technologies with health, healthcare, living, and society to enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery and make medicines more personalized and precise. The discipline involves the use of information and communication technologies to help address the health problems and challenges faced by people under treatment. These technologies include both hardware and software solutions and services, including telemedicine, web-based analysis, email, mobile phones and applications, text messages, wearable devices, and clinic or remote monitoring sensors. Generally, digital health is concerned about the development of interconnected health systems to improve the use of computational technologies, smart devices, computational analysis techniques, and communication media to aid healthcare professionals and their clients manage illnesses and health risks, as well as promote health and wellbeing.
Digital health is a multi-disciplinary domain involving many stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers and scientists with a wide range of expertise in healthcare, engineering, social sciences, public health, health economics and data management.

Tamás Ádám Mohácsi started his career in sales immediately after graduating
in economics at Gamax Laboratory Solution Kft. From autumn 2022, he has been
working as a dedicated sales specialist for the company's MAIA project.
His daily responsibilities include all sales-related tasks, including partner network
development and pricing strategy, as well as liaising with healthcare advisory
professionals. He also responsible for managing the delivery of demonstration
demos and channelling feedback to developers and the project team. An
important goal of the project and Tamás, is to exploit the power of artificial
intelligence in healthcare, leveraging the latest innovations, such as MAIA software
product (Medical AI assistant).
I graduated from Semmelweis Medical School in 1993 and started working at the 2nd Department of
Internal Medicine at the same university. After my board in internal medicine, I travelled to the US to
University of Miami where I did cardiology research and started my training in cardiology. I got board
certified in cardiology in 2002 and got the PhD degree in the same year. I got invited to the
Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Center and became the chief of Department of Adult Cardiology
in 2006. I was working as an interventional cardiologist and performed several structural
interventional cardiology procedures first in Hungary with my team. I got board certified in
anesthesiology and intensive care in 2008. I was invited as a visiting professor to the University of
Aberdeen to teach interventional cardiology for six mounts in 2012. In December 2015 I was
appointed as the vice medical director and in December 2017 as the general director of the
Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Center. In 2019 I got appointed as the chief of Cardiology Section
of the Hungarian Professional Medical Council. In 2022 I became professor of cardiology at the
University of Pecs. In 2023 I became the chief of the Hungarian Professional Medical Council. During
my directorate the team of our Institution became very much devoted to national and international
medical research and medical education. We run several PhD and clinical fellowship programs for
both national and international students and publish our projects in leading international peer
reviewed journals. My vision is to make Gottsegen National Cardiovascular Center visible and
recognized also in field of international cardiovascular medicine.
He has extensive experience in management of research and medical software development projects. Between 2014-2015 he was the research manager at GE Healthcare Hungary working on a clinical decision support platform. From 2015 to 2018 led a structured reporting software developer company, from 2019 product manager at Asseco CE Hungary Zrt developing a new hospital information system. From 2023 head of Institute for Clinical Data Management at Semmelweis University.
In the Innovation team at Roche Hungary and at InnoPHC - SZEFA - nonprofit foundation, I am
currently responsible for healthcare innovation. The actual role of the Foundation is to help
transform the healthcare ecosystem by implementing innovative ideas. The first and highlighted
project at InnoPHC / SZEFA is the methodological and digital implementation of the universal
and flexible patient journey centric framework into the Hungarian healthcare operation by co-
creating the digital tool DrBetMen. Originally I graduated as a Biotechnologist - MSc and
obtained my PhD in Molecular Pathology.

Újságíró-egészségügyi szakmenedzser. Az utóbbi szakmámhoz a diplomát a Semmelweis Egyetem közszolgálati karán szereztem 2005-ben. Harmincöt éve írok újságot. A pályakezdés első néhány évének kivételével, amit a Magyar Ifjúság című és a kollégámmal Katona Józseffel alapított közös lapnál a 424 című hetilap töltöttem, mindig napilapnál (Mai Nap, Népszava, Népszabadság, Népszava) dolgoztam, dolgozom. Voltam kormányzati tudósító, politikai újságíró végül egészségügyi szakújságíró lettem. A napi munkámban a hírvadászat jól meg fér kedvenc műfajommal a riporttal. Az utóbbi évtizedekben főként egészséggazdasággal, egészségpolitikával foglalkozom. Az egészségügyből az orvos-beteg kapcsolata, az információs aszimmetria bontása, a kommunikáció foglalkoztat. A napilapos „pörgés mellett” szerkesztettem gyermeklapot, életmódmagazint és két rangos gyógyszeripari szaklap ( Pharmamarketing, Marketing Pirula) vezető szerkesztőjeként is kipróbálhattam magam.
Belgyógyász – Kardiológus, nemzetközileg jegyzett szívritmuszavar specialista. Általános orvosi diplomáját a Semmelweis Egyetemen szerezte, majd a szakképzése után 2005 és 2010 között a Frankfurti Egyetem Kardiológiai Klinikáján dolgozott, ahol a szívritmuszavar részleg főorvosaként dolgozott. Európai Kardiológus diplomát szerzett, majd az Európai Kardiológus Társaság tiszteletbeli tagjának választotta. A Semmelweis Egyetemen szerezte PhD doktori (2009) címét, Egészségügyi Menedzser MSc diplomáját (2019), majd ugyanitt habilitált (2020). A Magyar Kardiológusok Társasága Aritmia és Pacemaker munkacsoport alelnöke. Kutatási érdeklődési köre a szívritmuszavar, valamint szívelégtelenség miatt eszközös kezelésre szoruló betegek ellátási módszerei, a katéteres, műtéti (pacemaker, defibrillátor), valamint gyógyszeres kezelési stratégiái. Bevezette Magyarországra a legmodernebb, teljesen a szívbe ültethető törpe pacemaker (Micra) alkalmazását, és tapasztalataival nagymértékben hozzájárult a technológia széleskörű elterjesztéséhez. A mindennapi betegellátás mellett fontos számára az eszköz- és gyógyszergyártókkal való szoros együttműködés, a diagnosztikus és terápiás eljárások kifejlesztésével és alkalmazásával kapcsolatos kutatómunka.
In 2008, he obtained his MSc degree in Economics with a specialization in marketing
and communication. Coming from a historical physicians' family, he has always had
an affinity for medical terminology and the healthcare industry. After completing a
short trainee program at L’Oreal, he decided to transition his career to the medtech
industry, taking on various roles both domestically and internationally.
Thanks to his fluency in English, German, and French, he began his medical journey
at Diatron as a Sales Distribution Manager, where he gained experience in
understanding cultural differences between countries and becoming familiar with
multiple healthcare systems. He then joined Covidien, one of the world's largest
multinational companies, actively participating in the launch of a new solution for
stroke patients in south and eastern Europe.
Subsequently, he returned to the IVD business to establish a start-up hematology
manufacturing company from scratch, taking the lead in creating and implementing
sales and marketing strategies. As part of this role, he traveled extensively worldwide
and successfully established two regional offices in Malaysia and Dubai.
At Medtronic, he managed the CRHF team and served as the business unit manager,
successfully executing the national pacemaker tender. Later, he was offered a
position at Johnson and Johnson, where he led the Ethicon team, expanding his
network within the field of surgery.
Recently, he had the opportunity to drive significant change in the world of surgery
by introducing robotic-assisted surgery to Hungary, a game-changing innovation
that allows surgeons to operate on patients remotely. As the first employee of
Sofmedica Hungary, the exclusive distributor for Intuitive Surgical Inc., he played a
crucial role in bringing the company to live and making this technology accessible in
the Hungarian market.
Zoltan is responsible for the commercial growth strategy for the product portfolio and digital
transformation at the Hungarian affiliate of Bristol Myers Squibb.
Prior joining BMS Zoltan worked at AstraZeneca Hungary as Salesforce Effectiveness & Business

University. Since 2012, she has served as general director of the Uzsoki Street Hospital in

Krystyna Grygier joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 2004. As GM in Hungary, she has re-established the BMS affiliate and has been driving transition for the last 4 years. During her 25 years career in pharma, she spent 19 years in BMS, working in multiple commercial and medical leadership roles at local and regional (CE Cluster, EU HQ) and global level (WW Commercial USA). Zsolt Horváth, MD graduated as a medical doctor in 1989, and subsequently qualified in internal medicine, clinical oncology, clinical pharmacology, as well as obtained the ESMO Certification in Medical Oncology and license in palliative therapy. He obtained his PhD in 2011 and MSc in healthcare management in 2016. From 1989 to 2012 he worked at the National Institute of Oncology, from 2021 to 2017 he was Director of the Oncology Institute of the University of Debrecen, from 2017 he was Chief Physician of the National Institute of Oncology, and from 2018 he has been the head of the Oncoradiology Centre of the Bács-Kiskun County Teaching Hospital. He was the National Representative of ESMO until 2018. He is a member of several Hungarian and international professional organisations and working groups, as well as the editorial boards of the Magyar Onkológia journal.

Tamás Kaló is the COO and Sales Director of PHOENIX Pharma Zrt, and Vice President of the Hungarian Association of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers.
Tamás graduated in 1995 in economics and has been working for PHOENIX since 1996. He supported the activities of PHOENIX Hungary as Financial Director between 2002-2020, during the time the Company became the market leader wholesaler partner of the Hungarian pharmacies. He took over the duties of Chief Operating Officer and Sales Director in 2020, focusing on innovative services for customers in the pharmaceutical supply chain. He considers an important task to support the digital development of the sector, in which the wholesale industry – directly linked with the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies and hospitals – plays a key role. Rita Molnar earned her BA business communication degree in the Budapest College of Communication and Business in 2008. She completed her MBA master program at Budapest Metropolitan University in 2020 and she is now pursuing a Health Policy, Planning and Financing Master’s program at Budapest Corvinus University. She started her career as a professional photojournalist from 1997 to 2002. Rita was just 21 when she started organizing events, and she founded her own company. Her first event was an amateur film festival in Eger in 1998. Ever since, she has been organizing 3 conferences per year, mainly in healthcare and VC investing fields. Between 2001-2005 Rita also worked as a movie producer. She was involved in co-producing a movie directed by the iconic Magyar movie-maker Miklós Jancsó. From 2006 to late 2007 Rita managed the event marketing team at Ringier Publishing, a Hungarian subsidiary of a Swiss-based leading publishing firm. In the summer of 2010 Rita founded Slimexpo with a venture capital involvement, and she organized with her own team a Slimexpo Festival with a diet, health and beauty theme at a premium event venue in Budapest Aréna in the spring of 2011.

Ferenc Nagy is the medical director of the Hungarian Charity service of the Order of Malta.

Gergely Németh graduated as a pharmacist in 2004 in Budapest. He started to work at the department in
charge of reimbursement of pharmaceuticals by the Hungarian authority for health insurance and has
been involved in planning and implementing the Hungarian generic pricing policy since 2007. He has been
actively engaged in developing applications and databases for supporting the pricing and reimbursement
of pharmaceuticals. He has been the project manager of the EURIPID project since its establishment in
2010. The EURIPID project is a non-profit and voluntary initiative of the national competent authorities of
Europe for the mutual sharing of pharmaceutical pricing information. Since November 2022 he has
worked as a pharmaceutical consultant at the Health Management Training Centre of Semmelweis
University where his main duties encompass the utilization of the existing health data related to
pharmaceuticals and support of uptake of digital health applications with the ultimate objective of
improving patient safety and quality of care.
Tünde Neuwald graduated from the University of Debrecen in 2006 as a chemical engineer and engineering teacher. Balazs has been graduated at the Semmelweis Medical School in 1992, then he got a further MSc degree at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine & London School of Economics and Political Science, Public Health and Policy Health Care Management, where he has continued his further studies at the Health Services Research Unit. Furthermore he has also graduated at the Eötvös Lóránd Science University Faculty of Social Sciences Health Economics Task Force on Drug Policy and Pharmaceutical Economics. He graduated at Budapest University of Technology and Economics as a mechanical engineer in
process engineering, but he is basically a design and simulation engineer, as he has also worked with
0D, finite element load, fatigue and CFD simulations in addition to CAD/CAM and BIM modelling.
Previously, he has worked in engine development, tried his hand at manufacturing technology for
machined parts and on large-scale building engineering projects.
In his most recent position, he managed the Hungarian office of a Japanese company with a
worldwide office network, where he served customers with an unusually broad product portfolio
(from ultrasonic cutting or aluminium casting machines, complete traceability systems and laser
welding to complete factory construction).
He has been involved in several cross-boarder projects in Europe, America and Asia, gaining
considerable experience in bridging cultural differences.
Throughout his professional life, he has always strived for innovation and growth through new

In 2001, he obtained a general medical degree at Semmelweis University. Since receiving his diploma,
he has been teaching and working at the 1st Surgery Clinic to this day. Over the years, he gradually
worked his way up the teaching ranks at the clinic (2001-2008 resident, medical candidate, 2008-
2011 teaching assistant, 2011-2016 assistant professor, 2016-2019 associate professor, from 2019

is a regular member of the Doctoral Council, head of the Department of Operative Medicine, and

2008 he passed the surgical examination, in 2015 he obtained his habilitation at Semmelweis
University, in 2016 he received the title of Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The focus
of his research is hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.

gastroenterological surgery.

Zsombor Szirmai, Head of Business Excellence & Execution at Novartis Hungary. Economist, graduated from the Corvinus University of Budapest and earned his MBA degree at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Throughout his career, he worked at various innovative pharmaceutical companies, including Novo Nordisk, MSD and Novartis. His roles primarily included the sales & marketing responsibilities across various therapeutic areas, but he also gained experiences in business support, financial and product supply positions. Zsombor has a broad international experience, having worked in Denmark, Malaysia, the USA and Switzerland.

Currently, as the Deputy State Secretary for Technology at the Ministry of Economic Development of Hungary, my primary mission is to design and implement programs which foster the technological maturity level improvement among Hungarian companies. I am also a researcher and a PhD candidate. In the past, as the Chief Innovation Officer to the President my primary assignment was counseling and generating project initiatives related to university-centric innovation ecosystems. As the founder of an international NGO I was dealing with innovation and humanitarian technology transfer. He completed a Ph.D. Program at Corvinus University of Budapest, on the Department of Environmental Sciences and Technology in 2015. His research topics are environmental innovations and patents. He is managing director and board member of numerous Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises.
She is a Hungarian attorney with over 14 years of experience having in-depth knowledge
pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and medical devices sectors and the related regulatory
environment.
Eszter also regularly advises on competition and state aid matters, and has leveraged that experience
to deliver a broader and deeper service offering to the firm’s life sciences clients. Her client base
includes national and international clients in respect of which she has advised on licensing,
compliance, enforcement as well as sector related M&A.

He completed his medical studies at the Semmelweis University with 'Summa cum laude'
certification, in 1989 he became a board certified Urologist.
He obtained his PhD degree in 2005 on the topic of "Foreign body related urinary tract infections",
since 2009 he has been a professor emeritus and since 2017 he has been a doctor of the Hungarian
Academy of Sciences.
Since 2005, he has been Head of the Department of Urology at the Jahn Ferenc Hospital in Budapest,
and in 2023 he became head the Department of Urology at the National Institute of Oncology as
well.
He has played a key role in the development of minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery in
Hungary. He is the first and to date the only Hungarian robotic surgeon with proctor license and the
surgeon who has performed the most robotic procedures in Hungary.
He is a member of the board of the Hungarian Urological Society and was its president between 2012
and 2015. Since 2022, he is the president of Hungarian Oncologist Society of Hungarian Oncologists,
Multidisciplinary Robotic Surgery Section, since 2021 president of the Urology Section of the College
of Medical Specialists, and since 2023 member of the Scientific Committee for Clinical Surgery of the
Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
András Ujhegyi graduated as an economist from the Budapest University of Economics in 2004 as an expert in international relations. He has more than two and a half decades of experience in various fields of the IT and telecommunications industry.

Dr. Wikonkál Norbert Miklós 1968-ban Debrecenben született, ott is végezte általános és középiskolai tanulmányait. 1992-ben avatták orvosdoktorrá summa cum laude minősítéssel a Debreceni Orvostudományi Egyetem Általános Orvos Karán. A Debreceni Orvostudományi Egyetem Bőrklinikáján kezdett dolgozni az MTA Tudományos Minősítő Bizottság ösztöndíjasaként, majd egy éves hollandiai kutatási ösztöndíjat nyert el. Ma is oktat, 9 hallgatója szerzett PhD fokozatot, amiért 2021-ben a Semmelweis Egyetem kiváló PhD oktatója elismerést vehette át. 2022 augusztus 20-án a Magyar Érdemrend Tisztikereszt polgári tagozat kitüntetést adományozta számára Magyarország köztársasági elnöke. He graduated as a pharmacist in 2002, after graduation he started to work in public pharmacies and
then he worked in the pharmaceutical industry. He joined BENU Group in 2007. He has been member
of the Board of Directors of BENU Magyarország Zrt. since 2010, and he is COO since 2020. Dr. János
Zlinszky is credited with building the BENU brand in Hungary, which currently includes nearly 400
public pharmacies. He is responsible for nearly 20 percent of the public pharmaceutical supply in
Hungary. He has been Vice President of the Association of Pharmacy Networks since 2012 and he is
President since 2020.
As COO of BENU Magyarország Zrt. and as the President of the Association of Pharmacy Networks he
believes in quality pharmaceutical supply, always putting the patient first. The advantages of
digitalisation are of high importance for him, to make even better use of and integrating those
advantages into the public pharmaceutical supply. Digitalization could help to provide simpler and
