Zsolt Horváth, MD graduated as a medical doctor in 1989, and subsequently qualified in internal medicine, clinical oncology, clinical pharmacology, as well as obtained the ESMO Certification in Medical Oncology and license in palliative therapy. He obtained his PhD in 2011 and MSc in healthcare management in 2016. From 1989 to 2012 he worked at the National Institute of Oncology, from 2021 to 2017 he was Director of the Oncology Institute of the University of Debrecen, from 2017 he was Chief Physician of the National Institute of Oncology, and from 2018 he has been the head of the Oncoradiology Centre of the Bács-Kiskun County Teaching Hospital. He was the National Representative of ESMO until 2018. He is a member of several Hungarian and international professional organisations and working groups, as well as the editorial boards of the Magyar Onkológia journal.
