Empowering patients in an increasingly connected world
Technology has had a massive role in the evolution of many business sectors in recent decades—and healthcare is also transforming due to its rapid advancements. Our world has become increasingly connected, leading to exciting new areas in healthcare, such as telemedicine, personalized medicine, and, in the future, even predictive medicine.
Chatbots have also gained prevalence. Whether it is renting a car or booking a hotel room, most of us have chatted with one at some point. Now they are entering the healthcare space and becoming a part of many digital health programs. At the same time, we are seeing an increase in the use of health data, and artificial intelligence and machine learning are helping us to use this data to positively impact health outcomes.
This talk will discuss the how Novartis is entering in to the digital health and data science space, how we see the potential of chatbots and artificial intelligence, and what the changing role of social media and web means for a company like ours.
