Global Head of Digital Health Solutions for Immunology, Hepatology & Dermatology at Novartis
Sander is responsible for exploring how digital innovation allows us to create personalized services and build interactive digital ecosystems that improve engagement. Within his work, there is a focus on understanding audience needs and preferences, while using new technologies to address identified opportunities. Since joining Novartis as Global Brand Director in 2013, Sander worked on improving care for people with chronic urticaria, initiated the ‘Skin to Live in’ social media program in dermatology, and in his current role introduced several chatbots that provide personalized access to information and services. In addition, he is leading the rollout of the next generation of consumer/patient websites across the organization, with the goal to improve the user experience and create connections across chat, web, and social media. Sander has a Master’s Degree in Medicine from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
