Most labs and diagnostic departments are seeing as a vending machine or
factory, you send a request, insert a coin and get a report with some figures.
The fact is that labs and diagnostic departments are sitting over a massive
amount of data they are not leveraging. Data is the new black gold of
healthcare organizations and by extracting insights from it, it´s possible to
shift from being a manufactory site to a decision engine, driving action across
healthcare. This presentation will respond 3 fundamentals questions: 1) Where
are we? Having a look to biggest trends and challenges in healthcare,
providing some light about the status of diagnostics. 2) Where do we want to
be? Reviewing the opportunities for digital health, the healthcare of the future
and providing some inspiration about how success looks like. 3) What do we
need? Explaining what Abbott and its branch Digital Health Solutions, are
doing to this regard. This will include information about how DHS could help in
the Dx Cycle and how to set a roadmap for Labs and Dx organizations.
