Duray Gábor

Internal Medicine – Cardiologist, internationally recognized cardiac arrhythmia specialist. He received his general medical degree from Semmelweis University, and after his specialist training, he worked at the Cardiology Clinic of the University of Frankfurt between 2005 and 2010, where he worked as the chief physician of the cardiac arrhythmia department. He received a European Cardiologist diploma and was elected an honorary member of the European Society of Cardiology. He received his PhD (2009) and MSc in Healthcare Management (2019) from Semmelweis University, and then habilitated there (2020). He is the vice-chair of the Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Working Group of the Hungarian Society of Cardiologists. His research interests include the care methods of patients requiring instrumental treatment due to cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure, catheter, surgical (pacemaker, defibrillator) and drug treatment strategies. He introduced the use of the most modern, fully implantable miniature pacemaker (Micra) to Hungary, and with his experience he greatly contributed to the widespread dissemination of the technology. In addition to everyday patient care, close cooperation with device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, and research related to the development and application of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are important to him.
