Prof. Robert Sepp, MD, DSc

Prof. Dr. Robert Sepp is a Professor in Cardiology and the Head of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Division at the Cardiology Center, University of Szeged, Hungary. He holds a Specialization in Pathology, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology. Since 1994, he has been working at the Cardiology Center of the University of Szeged, currently serving as a Full Professor. He defended his PhD thesis in 2004, completed his habilitation in 2011, and became a Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2018. He serves as a principal investigator and coordinator for several national and international research grants. He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Internal Medicine, the Hungarian Society of Cardiology, and the Hungarian Society of Human Genetics. He has been the Chair of the Working Group on Heart Failure and Myocardial Diseases of the Hungarian Society of Cardiology; a member of the Advisory Board and the Scientific Committee of the Hungarian Society of Cardiology. Furthermore, he is the coordinator for the European Reference Network Guard-Heart, an EU network of centers of excellence. His primary research area involves clinical and molecular genetic investigation of heart failure and hereditary cardiac diseases.
