dr. Zsombor Zrubka, PhD, MD, MBA
Associate Professor, Director General, University Research and Innovation Center, Óbuda University
Zsombor is the Director General of the University Research and Innovation Center and the Head of the Health Economics Research Center at Óbuda University. He is the author of nearly sixty scientific journal articles, with a cumulative impact factor of 177. In addition to his research in the health economic analysis of digital health, he teaches health economics methodologies and innovation to undergraduate, master's, and PhD students from Hungary and abroad.
Before his academic career, Zsombor worked in child psychiatry and then spent 17 years in the pharmaceutical industry in various national and international roles, including positions in sales, medical affairs, marketing, and business unit management. He was a member of Pfizer’s European Brand Team, working in Hungary, Germany, England, and France. At Egis Pharmaceuticals, he led the international launch of the first biosimilar monoclonal antibody across several Central and Eastern European and former CIS countries.
He holds a medical degree from Semmelweis University, an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, and a PhD from Corvinus University.
