dr. Gergely Olah, MD

Dr. Gergely Oláh is a surgeon and health-tech innovator with over a decade of experience across both public and private healthcare. He earned his MD from the University of Szeged and a degree in Health Economics from Széchenyi István University. He began his career at Hungary's military hospital before moving to the National Institute of Oncology, where he now serves as Adjunktus (Senior Physician) in the surgical oncology center, specializing in general, vascular, and oncologic surgery. He has also worked with several private providers, giving him direct, hands-on insight into how domestic and international private healthcare operates and what it needs. Clinical placements abroad (Sweden, Taiwan, Brazil) and advanced surgical and robotic training (France, Switzerland, Slovenia, the Netherlands) have given him broad international experience.

He is Co-Founder of OP/AID and serves as Chief Medical Officer at EVE Medical. As a resident, he received the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Innovation Award for developing a laparoscopic surgical training device, and he previously represented Hungary as National Representative to the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO).
