Dr. Róbert Kőnig is a pediatric surgeon and healthcare manager. He completed his studies at the University of Szeged, where he earned degrees in paramedic science and general medicine, followed by pediatric surgery and pediatric traumatology specializations at Semmelweis University. Later, he obtained a degree in healthcare management.

He began his career as a paramedic, then worked as a resident and later as a specialist in pediatric surgery departments in several institutions, including Szeged, the Madarász Street Children’s Hospital, and currently the St. John’s Hospital in Budapest, where he serves as deputy head of department. He also practices privately in Székesfehérvár and at his own clinic, the Dr. Kőnig Pediatric Medical Center. Additionally, he gained professional experience abroad in hospitals in the United Kingdom.

In 2025, he was appointed Prime Minister’s Commissioner, responsible for patient information and patient satisfaction. He is a member of several national and international professional organizations, the first author of numerous scientific lectures and publications, and a regular speaker at medical conferences. His media presence is also significant: under the brand name “Dr. Kőnig Doki,” he has built a strong public profile and is active on social media.

His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical Award (Professional Special Prize), the Family Network Award (Családháló Díj), and the Highlights of Hungary recognition.
