Kuuno has been with AstraZeneca since 2007 and brings 20 years of HC industry, various therapy areas and different countries experience, demonstrating success in leading organizations in Estonia, the Baltics, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. He has also served on the leadership teams in the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe regions. Kuuno holds a Pharmacy degree from Tartu University in Estonia.
His primary mission is to ensure that all healthcare stakeholders, including patient organizations, doctor associations, policymakers, health insurers, hospital leaders, universities, medicine developers, and others, work collaboratively to consistently enhance patient outcomes.
Kuuno is particularly focused on optimizing patient care pathways through digitalization, automation, and data-driven decision-making. This focus aims not only at implementing new medical guidelines into clinical practice but also ensuring healthcare sustainability.
As a seasoned leader in innovative medicine development, Kuuno strives to build cross-functional teams that drive innovation across countries in partnership with all healthcare partners with common aim to improve patient outcomes and country competitiveness.
