Nóra Bittner, MD graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1989. Afterwards she lived in Pécs for 10 years and specialised pulmonology. Early on, she focused on the care of oncological patients. She also gained experience as a clinical research manager and medical consultant in multinational pharmaceutical companies.  In 1999, she obtained an MBA from the University of Pécs, specialising in health economics. After returning to Budapest, he worked at the National Oncology Institute for 12 years as a senior oncologist. Her main areas of research and care were lung, breast, colorectal and rare cancers. She participated in and led several clinical research projects and obtained a specialization in clinical pharmacology. She defended her PhD in 2015 on the association between EGFR mutations in lung tumours and bone metastases. Throughout her career, she has considered patient collaboration, communication and patient information as key priorities. She has collaborated with patient organisations to promote health, primary prevention and early screening. She has acted as an expert consultant in several oncology development projects. In Debrecen she was Director of the Pulmonary Clinic for 3 years. Currently she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine and Oncology of Semmelweis University.
